1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using RailStaff, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms.
2. Purpose of RailStaff
RailStaff provides personal productivity tools for railway staff, including calculators, planning aids, a digital running journal, mutual transfer matching, notes and report preparation. Public tools, including the on-screen 7th Pay Matrix, may be browsed without an account; selected protected features require Google sign-in. The Pay Matrix feature specifically labelled “Premium PDF” requires sign-in and an active subscription.
3. Personal aid only — not an official record
Every journal, memo, report, calculation, station suggestion and generated output is an unofficial personal working aid. It has no official validity and does not replace prescribed railway records, registers, circulars, rules, instructions, medical or safety procedures, or authorised systems. Always verify information and use the official channel required by your employer.
4. Calculators and estimates
Salary, allowance, tax, pension, retirement, pay-fixation, investment, loan, timing and other results are estimates based on the information and assumptions shown in the app. They may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect and are not financial, tax, legal, employment or retirement advice. Verify results against current official orders and consult a qualified professional where needed.
5. Your account and content
You are responsible for your Google account, device security, the accuracy and legality of content you enter, and backups of important data. You keep ownership of your content and give RailStaff only the permission needed to host, process, sync, display and transmit it to provide the features you request.
Mutual transfer information you post, including your contact number, is placed in a shared pool available to signed-in users for matching. Only post information you are comfortable sharing, communicate carefully with other users, independently verify identities and remove stale requests.
Deletion of your content. Your saved content is deleted only when you choose to delete it — either by removing an individual item, or by deleting your account, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. RailStaff does not offer a bulk "clear all data" action and does not delete your saved workings automatically, including during cloud synchronisation, when you sign in on another device, or when you clear your browser data. A working you delete is retained in Recently Deleted for 5 days so that you can restore it, after which it is removed. Please still keep your own backups of anything important, as set out in clause 11.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse RailStaff, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or bulk-harvest user information, impersonate another person, disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls, or use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing or unsafe activity. Do not upload classified, confidential, restricted, security-sensitive or third-party personal information unless you are authorised and it is necessary.
7. Premium exports and subscription requests
Only features clearly labelled as premium are subscription-restricted. At present, this applies to the 7th Pay Matrix PDF export; the on-screen matrix remains publicly available from the Home tools grid. Sending a subscription request is not a purchase and does not charge you. Access begins only after activation. Any price, billing period, payment method, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be displayed before a paid transaction is enabled.
8. Third-party services and links
RailStaff relies on services such as Google Firebase and Google sign-in and may open external services such as WhatsApp. Their separate terms and privacy practices apply. RailStaff does not control external services and is not responsible for their availability, content or conduct.
9. Availability and changes
The service may change, experience errors, be suspended or be discontinued. Features may be added, removed or limited for security, maintenance, legal or operational reasons. Reasonable notice will be given for material changes where practical, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated for misuse, security risk, legal requirements or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using RailStaff at any time and may delete your account and data using the deletion instructions.
11. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, RailStaff is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, financial loss, missed duty, operational decisions, disciplinary consequences, or reliance on app output. You remain responsible for checking all entries and outputs before use.
13. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact dankeshvar.cs@gmail.com so the issue can be addressed.
14. Changes to these Terms
The effective date will be updated when these Terms change. Material updates may also be announced inside the app. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
