1. About this App. RailStaff - Utility Assist is a utility tool and calculator made to help Railway Employees with salary estimates, overtime, NDA, NPS vs UPS, tax comparison, DA arrears, pay fixation, the 7th Pay Matrix and mutual partner matching, and to help Running Staff prepare rough journal, charge memo and detention memo notes. It is developed and maintained by a private individual. It is not an official application of Indian Railways, is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Indian Railways, any Zonal Railway, Division or any government body in any manner.
2. Voluntary Use & Consent. Use of this app is completely voluntary. Public tools can be browsed without an account. When you choose a protected feature, Google sign-in is required. Features specifically labelled as premium downloads may also require an active subscription. By using the app you agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
3. Your Data. The details you enter (train, timing, crew, memo data, profile) are stored locally and, after sign-in, with Google Firebase so they can sync across your devices. Private records are not sold or used for advertising. Mutual transfer details are shared with signed-in users for matching. Keep your own backup (Menu โ Record/Data โ Backup). You can clear saved data or permanently delete your account from the app.
4. Not an Official Record. Documents, memos and reports generated by this app are personal working aids / rough notes only. They have no official validity. Official railway records and documents must always be prepared and submitted through the prescribed official channels and formats. Do not upload confidential or restricted official documents into this app.
5. Accuracy & Responsibility. All calculations (timing, detention, BT, totals) are automated aids and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for verifying every figure before using it anywhere. You are also solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter and for complying with your employer's rules while using this app.
6. No Warranty. The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any warranty of any kind โ no guarantee of accuracy, availability, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind โ including data loss, departmental or disciplinary action, financial loss, or any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages โ arising from the use of, or inability to use, this app. Your only remedy if you disagree with this policy is to stop using the app and request deletion of your data.
8. Changes. This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available from the app menu.
